Operational Area;

MV Ocean Explorer is based in Kirkwall, Orkney. Our preferred operational area is within Orkney waters, however the vessel can be mobilised to operate anywhere within Scotland, England,Wales, the UK or Europe (subject to period of hire).

The vessel is MCA coded category 2 plus workboat code to operate up to 60 miles from a safe haven (any port providing shelter).

One or two day hires would normally be restricted to areas North of Inverness but each case will be considered individually.

Any area outwith Orkney will usually involve a mobilisation charge & for longer hires,  accomodation charges for crew. Full details available on request. 

We are also able to offer any of our other services within the same areas.
